Either you can use an ice-cream maker to make delicious chocolate ice-cream, or you can make it manually. It’s not as difficult as you might think. You just need to stir the ice cream frequently during freezing.
- Place the ice cream mixture in a freezer-safe container.
- Stir the mixture every 30 minutes until it becomes fully frozen. This will take approximately 4 hours.Let the dark chocolate ice-cream cool in the freezer for at least 15 minutes before serving. It should be at the right consistency.

Ingredients
- 500 ml milk full cream
- 165 ml whipping cream
- 40 g dark chocolate min. 65% cacao
- 160 g caster sugar (powdered sugar)
- 50 g cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1 egg white
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Heat the milk, pepper, cinnamon, rich cream and dark chocolate in a saucepan. Stir until it reaches boiling point. Once the chocolate is melted, stir and then let cool to the side.
- Combine the sugar, egg white and cocoa powder in a large bowl.
- Mix the milk mixture well and continue to whisk until it becomes thick and creamy. The goal is to get a shiny, thick mixture.
- In an ice cream maker
- Place the chocolate ice-cream mixture in an ice-cream maker and churn to your desired consistency.
- Without an ice cream maker
- Place the ice cream mixture in a freezer-safe container.
- Stir the mixture every 30 minutes until it becomes fully frozen. This will take approximately 4 hours.
